Product Description:

Shiira is a web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. The goal of the Shiira Project is to create a browser that is better and more useful than Safari. All source code used in this software is publicly available.

Shiira has potential: it looks great and has some really nice features, but there are a couple things that remove it from the list of possible candidates for even a backup browser at this point. First off all, the bookmark management system would not work properly for me. It would not properly import and the bookmarks I tried to rearrange ended up vanishing. This in itself is a huge problem. Coupled with the lack of any built-in or add-on based ad blocking and the lack of 1Password support, Shiira isn't usable for me. I'd like to see where this project goes in the future, though...

..and this is a huge, HUGE problem!
I can't evalue this browser that was one of my very preferred ones in the version 1.
