Product Description:

Creating a website is a tedious business, you experience a never-ending cycle of writing code, making changes and previewing it. Enter Tag, the intuitive XHTML editor with tons of features to keep your eyes on what's important, your code. Tag is the perfect Mac OS X citizen, featuring high quality photo-realistic icons and a ultra-usable interface. All this for only $19.95. Most editors require you to experience the same cycle every time. Save work, switch to FTP client, upload, switch to browser and the cycle continues till your web page is perfect. Just think how much time you will save if you use Tag and its Live Preview functionality. Tag eliminates the whole switching cycle and puts it all into a convenient one-window interface. Tag incorporates an intelligent syntax coloring system, is there a language you would like to write your code in, but Tag doesn't have a syntax definition for? Then make it yourself, by creating a simple file, you can now code with your new syntax coloring. And if you like, you can share your definition with the masses. With Tag's snippets feature, you can store your most used portions of code in a simple to use interface. If you require more power, why not attach a key command to a snippet, allowing you to quickly insert code into your website. Also available are 3 variables, allowing you to further extend the power of your snippets. Writing code is a tedious task. You seem to be typing the same bits of code over and over again. With Tag's auto-complete features, your productivity will be increased many times over.

Tag Reviewphp include files - Version: 1.2.1, 3/6/2006 10:27AM PST

It doesn't work with include files. The method Tag uses to render the php code seems to generate a temporary file before running it through php. php then can't find the include files because their paths are invalid.

This is hitting the sweet spot.
Not too much, not too little. Very strong entry.

I tried this application out just to compare its features with HyperEdit. So far my HyperEdit isn't going anywhere fast.

While having the Live Preview is great, an implementation more like HyperEdit would make this feature a lot better (truly "live"previewing). Code completion and the snippets feature (name strikingly familiar to HyerEdit's "Code Snippets") are nice features of the application but could be implemented a little better.

Overall a decent app that could use some work to deliver on what is implied and eventually earn a spot on my hard drive.
