I have been using i-Installer for a few years now and must confess it keeps my teTeX installation up-to-date. Together with iTeXMac, or in xemacs with Auctex, this still easily produces the best typesetting, particul;arly if you need mathematical formulas. It also produces books with TOC, index, cross-references, etc.

Hi,
I've used Mr. Wierda's i-Installer to maintain an up-to-date TeX installation, which I use with TeXShop. Recently, I read somewhere that there is a i-Package that allows using the Mac OS (X) fonts within TeX. Alas! the i-Installer shows an all too brief blurb about the packages - most of which say nothing about the functionality of these.
So, which i-Package(s) do I need to be able to use Mac OS (X) fonts in TeX?
Thanks, Tristan

...is a quite poor product. I don't see any claimed advantage over fink, which is a powerful package manager where all the dependencies are taken care of, and it does not poison your /usr directory with possibly conflicting installations. What if two packages install the same library with different versions? Or if a package installs a library which already is present, but with a different version? What happens when you then want to uninstall the package that introduced the conflict; is the common library removed as well?
OTHO, kudos for the maintenance of the tex libraries for the mac; Gerben is doing a very good job there.
