Product Description:

Applimiser is the application optimisation tool for Mac OS X applications. In addition to the removal of unused language localization files (de-localization), Applimiser can optimize other embedded files, such as help documents. The user has the full control over which optimization strategies are employed. Before any optimization is done, the possible savings are presented in a statistical overview.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed a crash during analysis when trying to establish which language to keep.
  • Detached two of the warning messages again. This solves the "machine gun" issue for unregistered versions of Applimiser.
  • Attempt to fix a crash in the PCRE library.

The below mentioned DeLocalizer is geared towards American English users. So if you - like about 97% of world population - are not American English, you get stuck with these files. Also, language removal with Applimizer is also free.

Use Delocalizer, http://www.bombich.com/software/local.html, and see http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/13503 for reviews. Cleaning out these sorts of files doesn't really "optimize" an app, in that it won't run any differently, all this does is free up some HD space.

Applimiser can remove language files for free; only the advanced options such as HTML or string file optimization that require registration.

I did not see a crash in 1.1
