Product Description:

Image Browser is a simple program for viewing and organising images. The Image Browser window is split into two sections. The list on the left shows a list of all the files in a folder. You can move around all the folders on your hard drive using either the mouse or keyboard. The images can either be shown as thumbnails or generic Finder icons. As each image is selected it is shown in the image view on the right side of the window.

What's new in this version:

Scroll image by dragging with the mouse (thanks to Charles Sindelar for the idea).
The first 10 bookmarks get key equivalents (thanks to Marc Gelfo for the idea).
Bookmarks can now handle the tilde character in the path.
Rotate image clockwise or counter-clockwise in 90 degree increments (thanks again to Marc).
File comment (as in Finder's Get Info) viewing and editing in Info dialog.
Zoom in and out, and rotate toolbar buttons.
Option to turn folder preview on or off.
Zoom fixed for Fit To Window (was Proportional) display mode.
Online help added.
Thumbnails are made on a white background, which makes them look better if the image file has transparency.
Cut, copy, Paste key equivalents now work when editing filenames.
Improved menu and toolbar validation.

Even though the application will prompt for the user to make a donation, this is completely voluntary. There are NO restrictions on features or how long you can use it if you do not donate. In that way, it is freeware, as defined on wikipedia:

"Freeware is copyrighted computer software which is made available for use free of charge, for an unlimited time, as opposed to shareware where the user is required to pay (e.g. after some trial period)..."
