As a medical writer, I have to use a fair number of advanced word processing features (MS Word) during the day- but when i want to write something up that's simple or edit misc. docs, I hate using MS Word. OK-writer is now my favorite word processor.
this is a great program, and follows the best advice in programming- keep it simple. i'm going to recommend it to my friends and especially for elderly adults who may not be terribly computer literate.

My 5 year old loves it

My son is 5 1/2 and in the early stages of learning how to read. He has quite a bit of fun just typing in words that he knows and then having OK-Writer read it back to him. Being able to play with the sizes, colors, and fonts is just the icing on the cake for him. :) The buttons all have cute little sounds they make when you click them, I think he sometimes hits them just to hear the sounds.
