At first I thought this software was useless. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the files "recovered" made no sense. I tried it again and I was able to recover a spreadsheet that it would have taken me weeks to reproduce. I recovered a copy that was only two days old and was back to normal in an hour.

I've only used this product for the past 4 hours but some of the most anxiety-provoking hours I've had in a long time. I had mistakenly overwritten a large file with an older version, losing 5 months of intensive data analysis. Found officesalvage, tried the trial, it found 3000+ documents for me, bought the full version, sifted through 380 excel files, and found the exact one I needed, all data completely intact (as far as I can tell). Amazing. Fantastic. Wonderful. Recommend as required software for ALL mac users. AND recommend version tracker (I found it here) for finding the perfect software to solve your computer (or human) glitches.

Saved my a**, just as it promised it would, by recovering a doc I had accidentally overwritten. If I never use it again, it has paid for itself. Word of warning: It's going to take a looooong time to search a large drive ... but not as long as having to re-create an important doc!
