That whole command shift N thing was annoying--such a little thing, but really it was a pain. This little app is great. Thanks! :)

I got sick of mixing up my commands for new folder and new window and tried N Commander again.

Who knows why, but it has now worked with 10.4.2, where it didn't the first time I tried it.

So scratch my previous comment. This thing is great!

N Commander CommentaryDoesn't work for me in 10.4 - Version: 0.1, 9/14/2005 11:38AM PST

stickman67
As usual, I asked the question and didn't try it out for myself. After I added that feedback I went to the author's website, where it says this will work with 10.4.

Sadly, it doesn't work for me (OS X 10.4.2).

I've let the author know, and will cross my fingers.

N Commander ReviewTiger edition? - Version: 0.1, 9/14/2005 11:33AM PST

Will there be an update? Does this work with Tiger?

Having asked those questions, I can categorically state that this is a five-star product that is simple, free, and does what it says it does, properly and effectively. I've really noticed its absence since I've upgraded to Tiger (and I'm too frightened to try it out in case I do something that requires me to reinstall everything -- call me a coward!).

Full marks.

Exceptionally simple and easy to use application for an exceptionally simple task. It does what it says and no more and removes one of the little annoyances in life. Thanks

The change of the keyboard shortcut has been the single largest annoyance for me since I switched to OS X a long time ago. Thank you for this simple product.

Please disregard my previous comment. It appears that the shortcuts cannot be swapped without manually editing the finder.plist.

..doesn't 10.3 provide this functionality already? I can't check right now but I'm rather sure that it does. I'd imagine that this program would be useful to 10.2 users though.
