Product Description:

Play jigsaw puzzles on your Mac OS X computer, it's just like the real thing but without the hassle. The free JPP software includes several free jigsaw puzzles. More puzzles are available from the www.jigsawpuzzleplayer.com website. JPP lets you work on multiple puzzles and switch between them, the program automatically remembers the state of each puzzle, so that you can continue with it later.

What's new in this version:

The screen was not updated correctly sometimes, causing odd graphics behaviour
Pro only: Ampersand character in puzzle filename caused problems
Pro only: Browse window in Create Puzzle window now also shows .gif images
Mac only: Zoom buttons did not work correctly

The non paying version is without interest. It's only meant to make you buy very expensive puzzles, which it does not succeed in.

There's a jigsaw puzzle for OS 9 that I came across a while back that lets you import your own images. Works very nicely, but I don't think it was ever submitted here. You can find it at http://www.bersk.com/misc/puzzle

Jigsaw Puzzle Player Pro, the $19 version of this freeware program does allow the importation of images. I have purchase it and I like it, although I wish the pieces were a tighter fit. There was a free jigsaw program called Chris' Puzzle that worked with earlier Mac OS versions. It was truly well thought out, the only problem being that it did not have a "save" feature and, of course that it wouldn't run past OS 7, or so. I wish the makers of this Dutch program would get Chris' Puzzle and learn from it.
