Great! Some small enhancements could make it even better!

Love the general idea; especially love being able to control the color. Two things for your next version: 1) I really like the idea of a gradient, but could the degree/rate of gradation be user-customizable with a slider bar? I only store icons on the right side of my desktop and would like to restrict DeskCover to the right-hand 1/3 of the page with a rapid gradient. And, 2): every morning when I turn on the Mac I have to reset the coverage area, because it keeps reverting to an earlier setting. But it's a good product, and allows me greater freedom in choosing desktop pictures because I know I'll be able to see my icons! Thanks.

There was a glitch in version 1.0 that caused the desktop sheet to have a width of zero when there were not a sufficient number of icons on the desktop. Version 1.1 rectifies this problem, and is now available for download. It also includes some other minor enhancements, including a readme available from the "About" window.
