With Flip4Mac, Mac users do not need to download windows media player to play windows streaming media. Unfortunatley, FrenchTVNews seems unable to utilize this. How long will FrenchTVNews continue to be even viable with M$ officially discontinuing development of windows media player for mac?

All works well except Canal + - I am only getting sound in Windows Media Player, no pictures. This happened in 1.6.4 and I thought it would be fixed in 1.6.6. Is this a common problem or just me. Excusez moi pour ecrire en anglais mais mon francais ecrit est vraiment horrible !

It's a simple AppleScript that works well and, while it doesn't have the bells and whistles that CocoaJT has, I use both, as sometimes I don't want to have to deal with JT's interface and just want today's news now. If you're happy with CocoaJT, stick with it, but if you just want today's news without the glitz, grab this one.

For french news (from France and other french speaking countries) I much prefer CocoaJT which you can find at http://jeanmatthieu.free.fr/cocoajt/index.html.
It provides radio feeds, allows you to record what you are watching and has a much nicer interface.
Give it a try !

I use this to brush up on my French. This app was really easy to use and it worked great every time (except for a couple of channels that were unavailable, but that doesn't really matter).
Only addition I can think of is subtitles in English.
