Very nice game, graphics and sound. Works fine with Tiger 10.4.3. Only the possibility to skip levels seems to work, but has no result.

The version 0.0.4 runs on Tiger. Very nice, small classic game. Well done! I had fun playing with.
BTW: The download link seems to be pretty slow.

Rats. This was kind of fun. I've installed eveything - even XCode Tools. The app just opens and then closes.
not bad for a novice attempt

Not bad for a first attempt at a new programming language. A little monotonous. Suggestions: 1. slow down the player's ship. 2. increase the size of the screen to scale to full monitor size. 3. provide machine gun (multiple bolts on the screen at teh same time) or at least auto repeat abilities, 4. add more original stuff we haven't seen before--make it your own.

quitting - Version: 0.0.1, 4/21/2004 11:44PM PST

You can quit the currently running game by pressing Q which takes you back to the startup screen, or you can quit the program entirely by pressing ESC. These things are explained on the startup screen, but I admit it's not very Mac-like in its current state...
Eventually you will be able to use the menu and standard keyboard shortcuts to start and stop the game, quit the program, etc. It's a little trickier to do this with python than it is with Objective-C, but I'll get it in there one of these days.
Super nice

It has the retro feel and look of the original game. This beta version does not allow you to QUIT. You have to force quit it to exit. Apparently it is made from Python.
