Product Description:

With Print It!, if you can see it, you can print it -- and a whole lot more! Print It! is very easy to use and never gets in your way. And Print It! is fast -- very fast. Print It! lets you instantly select and print anything you can see on your monitor -- even if it's not normally selectable -- and this includes any combination of text, pictures, and graphics -- literally, anything.
  • Print It! is a system-wide enhancement to OS X that runs in the background; there's no interface to have to learn or to get in the way.
  • Print It! adds a customizable system-wide hotkey to OS X that instantly invokes Print It!'s ability to select and print anything on your display.
  • Print It! provides WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) printing that eliminates both formatting errors and getting partially blank pages when printing from Web browsers, and Print It! includes support for previewing print jobs.
  • Print It! also works with the Finder, so it's easy to create Finder lists of anything and print them -- you even can add your own customized notes to Finder lists.
  • Print It! lets you instantly crop pictures and add notes and/or time-date stamps to them.
  • Print It! lets you instantly add notes and/or time-date stamps to anything you print.
  • Print It! lets you -- even on the fly -- create print jobs by combining virtually an unlimited number of selections from anywhere and then printing them together. Additionally, you can add notes and/or time-date stamps to your selections individually and/or to your print jobs as a whole.
  • Print It!includes an Auto-Scaling Guide so it's easy to print 100% of an oversized selection on a single page.
  • Print It! lets you select and grab whatever info you need from anywhere, including databases, spreadsheets, web pages, email, AOL, online chats, newsreaders, word processors, PIMs, calender/appointment programs, Quicken and other financial software, and virtually anything else -- you name it!.
  • Print It! lets you instantly create subreports from FileMaker, Quicken, Excel and literally any other program by allowing you to instantly collect and combine just the info you are looking for -- even across multiple applications. (You even can add your own notes and time-date stamps to your collected data/subreports.)
  • Print It! is a powerful tool for collecting any type of data when doing any type of research, whether for school, work, or personal use.
  • Print It! protects your data by providing you with the option of automatically saving it so you can continue working with your print projects at a later time.
  • Print It! enables you to print (or save to PDF) any material from any programs that can't print their own data.
  • Print It! also saves you money because it eliminates wasting ink/toner and paper printing material you don't need and because it makes you more productive when using your Mac.
  • And Print It! includes many additional features.

What's new in this version:

  • A Projects menu has been added and Print It! now allows you to simultaneously have up to 5 PrintBoard projects for mining/saving/printing data of any type. (As with earlier versions of Print It!, these projects also can be converted to PDF files.)
  • You now can name your projects for easy and instant indentification/organization.
  • The Auto-Scaling Guide in earlier versions of Print It! let you set a preference item to configure it for either the Portrait or Landscape Page Setup mode. Print It! 3.0 enables you to hold down a single key (the "C" key ) while selecting your data to temporarily override the preference setting and instantly toggle the Page Setup mode.
  • When saving data to a project with Print It! 3.0, the Auto-Scaling Guide's info can automatically be added to the project for future reference.
  • Numerous additional enhancements have been added to Print It!.

This is the most worthless software next to Windows. Why not just use command-shift 3 and command-shift 4. They do the same thing and save as a PDF file. Why spend the money?

I have no idea how Print It works, but it works very, very quickly by just pressing a key combo, highlighting what you want, and hitting print. That's especially useful if you tend to print a lot of little chunks of text from documents or web pages, but don't need or want the whole thing. (You can also preview what you're going to print, which can be helpful if you're stockpiling an assortment of tidbits.)

In my case, I experienced a quirky highlighting problem with the demo, but the developer not only responded to my concern quickly though e-mail, but actually sent me a tweaked version with a new preference OVERNIGHT. That's professional, and goes so far beyond how most developers respond that I'm still floored.

Anyway, it's hard not to like a program that works as fast as you do. I like this one enough to rate it the full 5 stars.
