PhotoZoom Pro ReviewGet it, got it, good! - Version: 3.0, 7/13/2009 08:52AM PST

Born Yesterday
I never tried the old version discussed below.

But I really liked this version. Did exactly what I wanted with great results.

Excellent product and well worth the asking price.

Thanks for the great work on PhotoZoom Pro !!

I have this image that I saved off the web originally it was about an inch by and inch big at 72dpi with this program I was able to expand it up to poster size. I then printed it out on an inkjet plotter at work. Every one who sees this poster is impressed.

The only tiny issue I have is it would be nice to have a 25% preview zoom while I adjust the settings.

PhotoZoom Pro ReviewGreat software!!! - Version: 2.1.12, 1/30/2007 04:21AM PST

Still the best. Just ran some tests on PhotoZoom Pro 2.1.12, Practals 4 & 5, SizeFixer SLR and Photoshop CS2. The results turned out:

#1 PhotoZoom Pro 2.1.12

#2 Photoshop CS2

#3 SizeFixer SLR

#4 Practals 4 & 5

PhotoZoom Pro has passed everyone. I've been using PhotoZoom for 4 years since they used to call themselves 'Spline'. There were not much improvement until they hit the version 2. I'm printing everything with my wide printer everyday. PhotoZoom is the one I use to enlarge 90% of my work.

Great software.

Based on the reviews I have read here, I would not want to deal with this developer.

PhotoZoom Pro CommentarySo what's new then? - Version: 1.2.2, 3/15/2006 01:15AM PST

This is the 2nd update to PhotoZoom Pro in the last couple of weeks and neither update has included a 'What's changed' section in the description. I tried out the demo version of PZPro a year ago and was quite impressed... but I didn't quite choose to buy it at that time. Maybe I would do so now, given even modest extra incentive in terms of new features or refinements, but everything that is stated in the product description could equally apply to the version I demoed last year.

To all developers who use VersionTracker: remember that many of us use VT to keep abreast of the latest developments in our chosen softwares, and by not giving details of what has changed with a given release you are really doing yourself a disservice -- 'missing a trick', as it were.

I'm sure that many of you software developers have worked hard on the refinements between one release and another, so c'mon, tell us about it! We want to know! If the changes are minimal, then it won't take more than a minute or two to add those lines to the product description; if the changes are substantial, well then, hey, all the more reason to shout about them, right?

I'm potentially in the market for something like PZPro, but as far as I can tell from this page it's the same product as it was 12 months ago, so no sale yet.

This does a significantly better job of enlarging images than Photoshop. It has useful presets and provides convenient ways to tickle the results. Its Macintosh GUI feels something like a port--little things do not work quite as they should, like dragging files onto the Dock to open them--but it is useable nonetheless. To see how this compares with its competition, see <www.americaswonderlands.com/digital_photo_interpolation.htm>. Note that this product is not shareware as claimed, it is an ordinary commercial product and the download is a demo.
