Shwenky, why don't you just write your MAC address down somewhere? It doesn't change, unless someone swapped out the network card. Besides which, what good would it do you to know the MAC address if it has been stolen?

I think it should also keep tabs on your Mac's MAC addresss, your ethernet card's serial number, wich is broadcasted whenever the machine is online. If my laptop were stolen, I would wish for then network interface #.

It says that it tracks the IP address and you get that info via email. Obviously, it detects the change in IP address and emails that info to an email address that you setup before the computer is stolen.
