ScheduleWorld Troubleshooting ReportI'd like to use this but... - Version: 1447, 10/30/2006 08:40PM PST

I'm running Mac OSX 10.4.8; I've been experimenting with Funambol's stuff, syncing between that, Gcal, iCal, my P990i, and it's just about all working but so far the Java version of ScheduleWorld crashes...the error msg is:

"Unable to launch ScheduleWorld"

when I click the 'Details' button I get:

An error occurred while running/launching the application.

Title: ScheduleWorld
Vendor: Web Service Solutions, Inc.
Category: Unexpected Error

Unexpected exception: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

I've got Java, etc. what gives? Any help appreciated, sincerely, pg

ScheduleWorld Developer NotePlease also send feedback to support@ScheduleWorld.com - Version: 1.4.32, 6/27/2005 06:43AM PST

The useful questions that get posted here as feedback aren't emailed to me for some reason.

I personally (yes, a real human being) respond to all support email. Being closely tied to the feedback cycle is incredibly helpful and I encourage you to tell me what you think and what you want. How else would I know? And I need to know in order to build what you want.

Cheers.

ScheduleWorld Developer Note.Mac - Version: 1.4.30, 6/22/2005 06:59AM PST

I'm not sure what entourage is, but wrt .Mac I should be able to push to your .Mac account via WebDAV.

Heck, I should just enable write access to my existing WebDAV service and provide a .Mac-like WebDAV storage solution for free. Hmmmm...

ScheduleWorld CommentaryLooks promising - Version: 1.4.30, 6/21/2005 04:26AM PST

It's pretty cool that you were able to emulate iCal's look in a Java app. And you use webstart. I like the whole concept of open cross platform scheduling.

Is there any way that this would allow me to sync entourage calendar events with iCal (so they could then be sync'ed with .Mac)?

Why do you feel it is necessary to slam someone for being poor? I say, if they are poor, help them out with some positive suggestions so they can get back on their feet again.

Cheers.

You should read what they've written at their Website.

http://www.scheduleworld.com/itsYourLife.html

But beside that, how do you know Apple isn't snooping on your data with your .mac account? Or MS? Or any other company you buy software from? And is your schedule so confidential that nobody else on the planet should see it? Your comment seems rather pointless.

ScheduleWorld CommentaryWho is ScheduleWorld? - Version: 1.3.9, 4/20/2004 02:38PM PST

Is anyone else concerned with exactly "WHO" ScheduleWorld represents?

A company in Ottowa with a 555-1212 phone number, no information about the developers, no names at all???

Please don't call me an alarmist, but I say proceed with caution. They emphasize repeatedly that this software is free, based on open-standards, and that your data is "Safe".

How safe when I don't even know who the folks who're hosting my information are?
