Product Description:

PicTiles is a new take on the Tetris genre. If you're tired of building endless walls, why not try something a bit more adventurous?
In PicTiles the goal is to use everyones favourite falling blocks to fill in pictures. The more of the picture you fill in - the higher your score.
But watch out, if you run out of blocks before you've filled in enough of the picture then it's game over!

What's new in this version:

  • On the final level, continue button is now marked "Finish" instead of "Next Level".
  • Fixed bug where level roundup would incorrectly report that player had one shape remaining, when actually there were none.
  • Fixed bug where music would continue to play on the title screen after a game was aborted.
  • Fixed bug where music would play when it had been turned off in the preferences.
  • Added highlight colour to the most recent high score in the scoreboard.

PicTiles Developer NoteNot a bug - Version: 1.0.6r1, 6/1/2004 10:12AM PST

CharcoalDesign (Charcoal Design)
The blocks definitely do not move two squares at a time, however the key repeat rate is quite high, I will consider adjusting it in a future versions as others have also struggled with this. As for the blocks falling through, I am afraid you have not understood the game mechanics. Blocks do not land on the silhouette, they land on the ground. if you wish to build on parts of the picture which overhang, you must balance your block on a neighbouring shape and build across-ways.

Bug Report:
Left and right controls sometimes move the tile 2 squares instead of 1. This necessitates fishtailing to get the tile into the right place.
Long blue tile, used vertically, will not stay on either side of the Beach Ball, but instead drops out.
