Vuze CommentaryStill the same - Version: 4.3.0.4, 11/21/2009 11:00PM PST

Even though the list of fixes make it seem like it were the bee's knees, it insists on keeping the same bland and useless startup screen.

You may indeed opt out of the Vuze Toolbar. However, when installing the wording it puts up makes you think you're rejecting the EULA, instead of just opting out of the toolbar. Beware.

Vuze Troubleshooting ReportStill bad news... - Version: 4.3.0.2, 11/20/2009 06:47AM PST

It still gives you the semi-blank bland and useless startup screen! Anyone know how to reset the thing?

Oh, and it also insists on installing the Vuze Toolbar on your browser, with minimal or no indications on how to opt out. Luckily, have Firefox in high security mode so that killed the highjacking attempt.

Vuze Troubleshooting ReportMain window won't appear - Version: 4.3a, 11/16/2009 12:55PM PST

The main window just shows up as all gray, I guess I'll keep using 4.2.0.8, and to everyone who keeps saying you don't have a choice to install the toolbar, on the second screen of the installer you can uncheck the box that says "I agree to the terms and want to install the toolbar". Hope that helps and I hope this problem with the main menu is fixed soon.

Vuze CommentaryThe good and the bad - Version: 4.3, 11/13/2009 07:48AM PST

The latest 4.3 release seems faster at startup and during use; great, cause that was one of the of the favorite gripes from the Vuze/Azureus detractors.

The bad is the new startup "page" for the Vuze HD Network tab. Very flashy, icon-y and whathaveyou, but I can't find a thing there. Any way to get the old scheme, even if it is cluttered and all?

Vuze CommentaryForget about spyware? - Version: 4.3, 11/13/2009 06:21AM PST

@Beatrice1955 You didn't confirm in your comments if it does or doesn't have spyware. If this has spyware in it that's reason enough not to use it. Careless people usually pay a price.

Forget about the so called spyware. The SIMPLE FACT is if you are not using Vuze you are disadvantaged. I kid you not I will download more than you will on ANY given torrent. Wake up!

Could anyone please indicate if this latest VUZE incarnation still comes preloaded with spyware like its predecessors?

Mac PPC OSX 1.5.7 Firefox 3

Installer installed Vuze toolbar WITHOUT allowing for me to give permission. When I uninstalled toolbar Vuze remained to interfere with Google search bar and some links.

Took me an hour to search and find out how to remove all the spyware files it installed. Insidiously they do not contain the letters "vuze." they are called "conduit."

Otherwise a good product but I'm going to spread this around it's inexcusable.

PLUS there is no fix on their site.

Vuze Commentarywent back to 4.2.0.2 - Version: 4.2.0.4, 7/13/2009 01:40AM PST

I installed 4.2.0.4 and noticed that it now takes forever to scrape the tracker and connect to peers. Torrents stay 'gray' for a minute prior to doing anything. I reverted back to 4.2.0.2 and this problem is not there.

I would not recommend this version.
