Why Not
Millions of messages after installation, this has stopped tens of thousands of viruses. It runs exceptionally well on almost any machine, has an interface that all plug-in writers should learn from and costs practically nothing. Best money I have ever put into the mail servers here.
Sweet - What a time saver

If you are like me and wear a lot of hats around the office and time to solve dumb user problems is not sometthing you have much to spare, then this is a product for you. If you have users (especially windows) who can't resist the tempation to open an email message from an unknown user that probably contains a virus, no matter how many times you have told them not to...then this is a product for you. Simple and easy to add to EIMS on OSX. Been running for just 2 days and already have save myself a ton of headaches and time after this product rightfully pulled 4 messages carrying virus so they wouldn't get to my users who might open them and create a mess. Using automation to take the risks of virus issues out of my users hands, and what this product has done in 2 days is worth way more then I paid for it already.
Spot on

This is OS X software as it should be. Just install, set a pref or two (just cause you want to be in control - the defaults are spot on anyway) and it's done. It does exactly what it says it will, and does it with the minimum of fuss.
What else can I say?

Every once in a while you run across software that works as described. Counteragent is an example of this rarity. It works as advertised. You install it, then you fuggetaboutit. Updates happen often and unattended. The price is reasonable. Support (I had one install question) is quick. If you are running EIMS X and not running this software, rectify that...NOW!

The best 25 bucks I've spent in a long time. I've been an EIMS user since 1997, but the days of running a mail server without virus scanning are over IMHO. Counteragent keeps EIMS as a viable option in today's environment and it works like a charm - the automatic DAT updates alone make it worth it. I was worried it would slow down my server but you won't even notice it's there (unless you go to your mail client and start hunting for the viruses that used to get through :-) ).
Great Product.

Easy to set-up, runs very fast. You must purchase a copy of Virex to work with this product, but it works great. DAT updates come pretty fast as well.
I am very happy with this product!

EIMS should not leave home without it. Having to ban every attachment under the sun was painful, now I can allow .zips and .exe's without having to worry. Installation and setup was a no brainer, an easy 5 out of 5.
First, it's only $35! Second, it really works.
Installation is very simple and fast. It runs transparently. The virus db in ClamAV is updated automatically.
Within minutes of installation, it caught a virus. And this is after many filters had already been applied.
It also catches phishing which is probably even more prevalent than viruses.
