XDarts ReviewSeemed lilke a good idea at the time - Version: 1.0.1, 1/11/2005 10:00AM PST

charmin--2008
I just put a dartboard in my room, and there is neither the room nor inclination for me to put a chalkboard or electronic scorer up.

Originally I made an excel spreadsheet to score with, and it worked fine. I thought I might get a bit fancier and went to write a Carbon darts scorer, but found this when I got stuck (I suck at Carbon). I installed it, and it's a bit pants.

Firstly, it's hideously patronising. Being able to click where the darts land and whatnot is nice, if you can't count, but for those that count it'd be really nice if you could just type the score - it saves a lot of time. The clicking isn't even all that accurate.

Secondly, the second you get a score wrong you're buggered. You can't go back and change a score or delete your last score or anything like that.

Lastly, it doesn't work. If you EVER go bust, the thing stops scoring for the rest of the game.

More of a toy than a utility, and not even a good toy at that. I wait for the day somebody writes a decent scoring utility for OSX because I don't want it to be me.
