Product Description:
StatusMonitors for Mac OS X is an application for monitoring the status of anything that has status to monitor. It displays plug-in style status monitors in your desktop or in a window. Current plug-ins included free monitors for current weather, disk space usage, memory usage, network load, cpu usage and a world clock.
What's new in this version:
- A global text color that all the plug-ins use for displaying text can be set in the application's preferences panel.
- The Current Weather monitor has a new weather forecast location preference (US locations only), and, once set, a window will launch with the forecast after double clicking on the weather condition icon.
- The CPUUsage monitor displays idle and nice usage now.
- Plus other miscellaneous enhancements.

Some people just see StausMonitors as a poor mans version of Konfabulator but there is more to it. SatusMonitors is good at what it was created to do; viewing stats. It wasn't created to be a whole plattform like Konfabulator or Dashboard. It's true that it isn't as advanced as any of these but it has a clean look and don't use up as much resources. I much rather use a program that don't eat up my entire processor. That seat is already taken by Azureus ;)

Um, isn't this a weaker or more limited play on Konfabulator? konfabulator has HUNDREDS of widgets for just about anything.

how the heck do you reposition where the info sits on your monitor? top left is not optimal for me at all.
