that this version is better than MTR 3 which took the developer forever to finish
Some thought he was stalling for more donations
He says her was going through a breakup
fine, but why make us suffer?
Finally they got to release 3.0rc 'm'
which I think means he gave up on it in beta

Easy to use but I have found two problems with it;
1. After ripping about 2/3rds of the way through there is a slip screen. The top half continues it the movie, while the bottom half is a still of a previous frame from the movie.
2. After converting and burning to a dvd my player display's a message "HD format not supported" so I can't watch it.

Version 2.6.6 encounters too many disc's that it can't rip, mostly those with Disc RCE or ARccOS.
The various flavors of 3.x have been unstable and do little to help out the situation. This version has a reg fee.
Version 4 is an unknown to me but I can tell you dealing with the developer or the support forums is no pleasant ordeal.
As a result, I now use RipIt and Mac DVD Ripper. Both have a nominal fee ($20 and $10 respectively) and are well supported, reliable and simple to use. RipIt is super simple but I own a few disc's it can't handle. I've never had a disc Mac DVD Ripper can't handle.
