TO RESTORE YOUR ICHAT YOU MUST REINSTALL TIGER 10.4.2! PUT THE DISK IN THE COMPUTER AND GO THROUGH THE DETAILED STEPS. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR FILES BECAUSE GOD FORBID LOSING THEM!
I made the mistake of installing this on my mac running Tiger and it completely broke iChat. Fortunately I figured out how to fix the problem. If you look inside the iChat --> Resources folder you'll see that the folder 'English.Iproj' has been modified most recently.
The fix is to simply replace this folder.
Get someone you know with iChat running on Tiger and ask them to do the following:
ctrl-click 'iChat' and select 'Show Package Contents'. Open the 'Resources' folder and copy the 'English.Iproj' folder. They can then mail this folder to you and you should replace the same folder in your 'iChat' app.
