Disk Inventory X is a disk usage utility for Mac OS X (10.3).
It shows the sizes of files and folders in a special graphical way called "treemaps".

What's new in this version:
- the scanning process is now 3 times faster (thanks to Dave Payne from Apple)
- ability to show the free space and the space occupied by not shown files on the selected volume and like a file in the treemap
- show physical (# of used clusters) or logical (size of content) file size
- ignore creator code (so all those PDF files are shown as "PDF File" and not as "Acrobat PDF File" or "PDF File")
- option to use a small font in the file list and the file kind statistic drawer
- refresh (reload) all or an individual file or folder
- preferences
- toolbar

This is one of the most useful utilities ever written for OS X. As drives get larger we get lazy about conserving space until we're almost running out. Disk Inventory X helped me find many long forgotten files and reclaim many gigs of space. This program is so useful it really shouldn't be free. Donate!
which works great under X.5.4
I think this program is wonderful, removes the problem of finding mysterious space users in a very elegant and convenient way. Worth a donation, IMHO.
