DivIllusion ReviewDon't Work - Version: 0.2b1, 1/8/2005 11:45AM PST

Marjansar
The VCD made and burnt does not play in DVD player. Seems out of the 2 or three VCD's created all the app will burn is the first one. Would really like this app to work.

If I can get it to work I will give it a higher rating.
Keep trying.

Tried burning a VCD with application - resulting disk doesn't play. Tried burning using output file and toast - message: unsupported format. Tried SVCD - disk would not play. Needs a lot of work.

Massive pageouts. Doesn't delete temp files when you quit before encoding is finished. Keep working on it....

DivIllusion ReviewNot quite working yet - Version: 0.1b1, 8/28/2004 12:16PM PST

I tried the product on three different .avi's (from various sources) that I'd like to burn as VCD's. Two of them were not recognized at all by DivIllusion -- it rejected them. (FWIW so did QuickTime -- only VLC will play them.) The third did encode to VCD format, but the resultant video was badly out of sync with its audio. (The original .avi is just fine.) So 0 for 3 right now, unfortunately...

Would like to try but the link is broken, this entry should be removed (read somewhere else that a new version is in the make)

DivIllusion Troubleshooting ReportMesses up cursos - Version: 0.01b6, 5/16/2004 08:33AM PST

It would be nice if the "some bugs" comment was qualified. On my system I lost my mouse cursos (though the mouse would still be movable), and it seems the app doesn´t indicate what it´s doing when converting a file.

And a definitive answer to the question "does it convert from .avi" would be nice.

DivIllusion ReviewWorks great! - Version: 0.01b6, 3/17/2004 10:30PM PST

Works better that Toast's default VCD creation. I had some digital interference on my Toast version(those square anomolies). Then I tried encoding a VCD with this & there are none!

DivIllusion ReviewWorks pretty well - Version: 0.01b5, 3/4/2004 08:10PM PST

The program works pretty well for its function, to turn movie files into the MPG needed to burn to a VCD. You do need other apps as well though to make a VCD, and thats trickier than this step.
