Product Description:
QuickName can be used to rename several thousand files in a few seconds. Files can be renamed with indexes or based on the current filename. QuickName can automatically detect the common delimeter and change it to any you desire. It can also change the case and capitalize files and extensions. Please send all ideas for renaming to quickname@parknation.com.

I had never had a need for such an app, but this was perfect for what I needed to do. I was downloading albums from emusic.com, and wanted to strip the artist name from the file name. I simply told the app how many characters I wanted removed from the files within that folder, and it did it perfectly and simply.

I've been using the "Simple Find & Replace v1.1" application in Panther (for some time), and it's been invaluable. However, I do want to try this "QuickName" and see if it's actually better. The feature-set looks a little more interesting.
