I had some join problems on my intel iMac, I passed these on to developer and was quite impressed with the speed and effort they went to in resolving the issue. Program now does everything I want effortlessly.

The only thing I wanted this program for was to join files, but when I try to join them it does nothing but use up CPU power until you force quit it.
I recommend Ajoiner instead for joining files together, instead of this useless program.

You can't really test this very well, with its silly 25-file limit until registered. Just get UnRarX, it's free, works great, and has no such limits.

How am I supposed to test it out if I can't join more than 25 files? It's not like I can only join half of it and come out with something at all useful.

JigSaw Troubleshooting Report"missing files warning" - Version: 1.8.7b1, 1/8/2006 01:24AM PST

robblackwelder
When I try to join mpegs, I get a "missing files warning," and the resulting combo file contains only shows the first segment, although the file is the right size for all the segments to have been included.

JigSaw Usage TipFound a trick for multiple files ! - Version: 1.8.5, 11/29/2005 03:55PM PST

This will sound archaic I know, but at least it works:

Drag file # 1 onto the window
Then drag file # 2 onto the window
Then click the blue bar on the window until 1 is first and 2 second
Drag file # 3 onto the window
Click the blue bar on the window until 1 is first, 2 second and 3 third
Drag file # 4 onto the window and so on...

JigSaw ReviewWorks, but... - Version: 1.8.3, 10/5/2005 09:29PM PST

I downloaded the program and attempted to join som .avi files.

When selecting multiple files, they appeared in the file list window in reverse sort order. Disconcerting. Tried dragging them into correct order without success. Also tried adding files to the list single - that resulted in an order with no rhyme or reason.

The help said the program would sort the files for me - well it didn't.

When attempting to join, I got an error message to the effect "File 001 not found - Continue?" Yes, it continues, but the order was scrambled.

Thinking this "001" was significant, I made copies of my files as "001", "002", "003", etc. Those, when added to the file list, did sort properly. However they would not join.
