Cavendish Screensaver CommentaryMy Favorite screensaver, but... - Version: 1.2, 9/3/2009 07:16PM PST

It seems that Cavendish does not run under Snow Leopard. I really hope we see an update, since this is far and away the best screensaver around.

Cavendish Screensaver ReviewThe Ultimate Screensaver to Space Out on - Version: 1.2, 5/22/2006 06:54AM PST

marxduck
A full featured, self documented (mouse over menu item for more information) configuration menu for a screensaver that will give your little gray cells something to chew on as your eyes space out on an elegant display of astrophysics.

I find this screensaver to be a _revelation_. I have an iMac G5, and the minimalist beauty of Cavendish is a perfect complement to my calmly designed, beautiful new machine. I am in love with this huge menu of settings, and the fact that the screensaver can be set anywhere from a placid, idly rotating pattern, to a more intense one that makes the processor fan come on, to one that is so incredibly powerful that it basically makes the System Preferences choke...universes colliding! I am the Kreator! Maybe some of the reviewers want patterns of poorly-drawn crap (toasters, anyone?) floating around their screens, but not I. This saver is perfection. Seven thumbs up.

While it's not exactly useful (how many screen savers are useful?) it is a well done 3D scientific screen saver that I will gladly add to my little collection.

That's a colorful thingy you made there. And it's real physics too, thanks! : )

Cavendish Screensaver Reviewbest screen saver ever - Version: 1.0.2, 7/18/2004 02:46PM PST

maybe it's not for everyone, but i could sit and stare at this for hours. i love how it draws the lines to represent velocity and influence. This is an excellent version of the standalone app, 'for the rest of us.' thanks!

ps, applebeer, a guy simulates realistic physics and you call it garbage. i call your review garbage.

Cavendish Screensaver ReviewFunky. - Version: 1.0.1, 3/3/2004 02:44PM PST

My new screen saver, definitely.

It does help if you can appreciate exactly what goes on in Cavendish to make it do what it does. Sure, it's not super pretty, but it's cool when you know what's going on. Only suggestions would perhaps be some more detailed documentation besides the tool tips of how it works, and how changing certain values change the sim.

Very nice little saver, complimenting a very nice program (Cavendish). Good stuff.
