Versiontracker Pro doesn’t recognize the current version of Chipmunk Basic. I have version 3.6.3(b0) but versiontracker still sees it as 3.6.2(b5). When looking at the version in Finder (get info), in the version field, it just says, “Chipmunk Basic.”
Thank You Ron!

I had a huge 28,000-record data base to convert. After making other programs try to manipulate the data, I complained that back on my old Apple ][ I would have been done by now. Then I remembered Chipmunk Basic.
In a half hour, I had written the program in Chipmunk Basic . . . set it to run . . . and 15 seconds later, it had gone through all the records flawlessly.
Thanks,

I've been Using this B.A.S.I.C. Interpreter for Years and am VERY Happy Mr. Ron Nicholson is Still Updating This Excellent Program. It helps Provide Cross Platform Support for several Ports of a Very Complex "C-64 Basic" Program Written in the 1980's!! Thank YOU, Ron: Please Keep up the Excellent Work!
B.T.W. I Miss the 'hidemenubar' call from the "Classic" Version I used for so Many Years: Can you Get Some sort of "Full Screen" Option in the OS X Port Someday?

Mr. Ibby
This is exactly what I like in a basic interpreter. It's like sitting down at an apple ][+ again! (That is a good thing) I really have little to say. Mostly I sat down having not written anything in basic for a bout 7 years and just used it. End of story.
Just want I wanted

I have been looking for some time for a basic BASIC for the Mac - no frills, just BASIC as I remember it from 1988. This is it. So far I have no complaints and have found no problems.
Thanks, sammyjojo!

Here's the corrent link until the developer fixes it http://www.nicholson.com/rhn/files/ChipmunkBasic359b2MacOSX.sit, it seems that the X was left off in MacOSX.
I have made a few graphical games over about 2 years.
(Things like space impact, and one where you eat apples, avoid poison surfaces and bugs, and get to the end)
I am currently working on re-making pacman.
is it possible that you will design a way for me to launch my application as its own native application, instead of being a CB program?
I would give Chipmunk Basic high ratings!
