Product Description:

Safari Extender adds functionality to Safari in the form of a contextual menu item. With Safari Extender you can do things Safari never allowed you to do before, such as Save or Load a Tab Set, Cut and Paste a Tab, even to a different window! or re-arrange your Tabs by making a Tab be the first one, or make it the last one. You can also compose an email with the current web address in your browser.

Another option is to temporarily turn Images OFF, which helps when you have a lot of browsing to do in a short time. After you found what you need you can then turn graphics back ON easily.

Other convenient functions in the contextual menu allow you to quickly go back or forward in a page, reload the page and increase or reduce the text size. Expect more features in the future. Your suggestions are always welcome!

To open the "contextual menu" in Safari, hold down the control key while you click the mouse in a web page. Note that if you just installed Safari Extender you may need to quit and re-run Safari before the Safari Extender menu shows up.

Safari Extender is Shareware, it costs 10 U.S. dollars after a 15 day trial period.

Features in the Safari Extender Contextual Menu:

Save Tab Set
Load Tab Set
Delete Tab Set
Cut Tab
Paste Tab
Make Tab the First Tab
Make Tab the Last Tab Go Back
Go Forward
New Tab
Mail Web Page Address
Bigger Text
Smaller Text
Reload Page
Images ON
Images OFF

What's new in this version:

  • Added the ability to Cut and Paste tabs, even paste it in a different window! Note that if there is only one Tab in a window, no sense in cutting that one so we don't allow it. An empty window is not pretty.
  • Added the ability to Save, Load and Delete Tab Sets, you can save the state of your setup in one simple step. You can also go back and load a bunch of Tabs as easily by loading a Tab Set.
  • Moved some items to separate menus for the new and future features being added.
  • Fixed the icon of the plugin not showing in the Finder.
  • Added a Close Window item as requested.
  • Changed the feature that emails the current web address to work without making a new window.
  • Made the menus for Forward, Back, Cut Tab and Paste Tab show only when available.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3

Safari Extender Developer NoteLeopard fixes - Version: 1.6.6, 11/18/2007 09:02PM PST

There is a problem which is a bug in Leopard that makes autoID think that it has not been registered and works in trial mode for 15 days. Someone created a small installer package that fixes the problem and makes autoID work again (and other eSellerate based programs).

The package, which came from https://spaces.umbc.edu/display/CIG/Web-based+VPN+on+Mac+OS+X+Leopard

After running that installer you can run autoID again with no problems. Thank you to Steve Smith for finding this and thank you for your patience.

P.S. If you also have Safari Extender we are working on the issues as Safari changed a lot in the Leopard version, note that you still need the fix enclosed to make the eSellerate libraries work.

Safari Extender does not seem to do anything under Leopard OS X 10.5, and Tiger 10.4.11 We are working on it, we could not support beta versions of Safari and we had to wait until the final version was available. Safari Extender is a very complicated piece of software and Safari has changed substantially so we need time to do things right. The features in Safari Extender may change for the Leopard compatible release.

thankzzz for your patience.

Just learned of the injury you sustained and the surgeries involved. There are many VersionTracker users, Ricardo, who want your recovery, that you get well, not only of your body but also of the mind & one's spirit. And that you return again to do the things that are important to you and to those you love.

Just got this response to mty last mail to Ricardo - it explains everyhting

Hi There!!! March 2007

I want to apologize in advance for the late reply you will get. After a bad fall in February 2006, I ended up having spinal surgery on June 21 of 2006 and then again in February 7, 2007. I am finally doing much better now but I am still in rcovery and may take a few days to answer your email. I hope that you understand as I still have a lot of pain and don't feel like (or can't) sit in front of a computer just yet.

When I get a few minutes and feel good enough to, I will answer your message. Please be assured you will get a response in time even if it is a little late.

Thank you for your patience and support.

thankzzz

Ricardo
