Power Hour Troubleshooting Reportvideo playlists - Version: 2.2, 12/6/2006 01:09PM PST

Video playlists do not work, the program shuts down because of an apple script error when the videos are enlarged. Otherwise the program is great.

Next version video capable perhaps? The only option i see now is to have it recreate a playlist with the videos and go off of that ...but then there would not be a play count that this program conveniently offers.

Power Hour CommentaryFeedback/feature request - Version: 2.1, 8/25/2005 04:29PM PST

I like this, but:
*could you add the option to gradually fade out (say over 4 seconds) the end of each 60-second chunk -- and possibly a fade-in at the beginning? It sounds very abrupt at the moment. Also any possibility of allowing the choice of length of chunk? Set it to 2:30 and combine the previous feature, and you have instant music for ballrooom dance. (Sort of thing you'd really want to do with Audacity or Sound Studio, but they're not scriptable.)
*might be nice if you could tie the counter to what's actually playing -- it carries on counting down when iTunes is paused.
*the text 'no shuffle' on the 'shuffle playlist?' dialogue is displaced
*you need a new icon; something with fewer colours and making better use of the available space -- i.e. not rectangular.

Power Hour Developer NoteA few quick notes... - Version: 2.1, 3/6/2005 12:12AM PST

Developer here. Not sure what the download problem was, but it appears to be working now. Version 2.1 allows you to select how many songs to play, corresponding to the number of minutes. Finally, I have uploaded a new version of 2.1 which should fix the applescript error someone mentioned. Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Works as advertised here - iMac G5

60 selections of my faves, upload to my iPod, into the car, iTrip to the radio, pack a slab (just joking), and I'm in heaven.

Power Hour Reviewwish it would work right - Version: 2.1, 3/5/2005 02:08AM PST

Interesting concept. I am sure it is great for parties or music trivia. I agree on previous comments of variable time input.

The problems I am having is the AppleScript code is not being nice. I am getting errors on almost everything I do.

Example:

After choosing playlist:
The variable theSound is not defined (-2753)

I even got errors before choosing a playlist. All AppleScript in nature stating that objects and calls were not defined. The above error appears every five seconds.

Maybe a revision will allow correct usage.

I am running this on a 1.8DP G5 with 10.3.8

Power Hour CommentaryGreat, time imput option - Version: 2.0, 3/1/2005 06:12PM PST

I love this app, a friend told me about it a few days ago and i downloaded it immediately. A student of the UW Madison, Im quite familiar with the power hour, but one just doesnt quite cut it. We've been know to do the century club on a regular basis, the sears tower (110 shots), and the double power hour. Upcoming is the tripple power hour and the double century club, therefore, of interest to myself and many others would be the ability to imput whatever time period those individuals participating in the event desired. I love the fact that we dont have to burn cd's or use garage band to mix songs, also is there a way to import different sounds for inbetween songs.
