Product Description:
iTools is a family of tools essential for serious commercial content delivery and eCommerce. iTools for Mac OS X extends and enhances OS X's built-in networking with ease-of-use and increased functionality. This suite of Internet tools is derived from Tenon's award-winning WebTen software and is based on standard open-source protocol implementations designed to complement and extend Apple's included Apache and to make it easy for webmasters to set up and support sophisticated network servers with a point-and-click web-browser administration.
What's new in this version:
iTools 8.2.2, also a maintenance update,
includes updated packages (e.g., phpMyAdmin 2.8.1 and MySQL 5.0.18, with
Apple's suggested configuration for improved MySQL performance), and new
Apache modules to enable both legacy Macintosh apps and various other
popular web tools to run with the iTools 8.2.2. Packages now supported
include Maxum's NetCloak, SmithMicro's WebDNA, OmniPilot's Lasso, and
Macromedia's ColdFusion. iTools' secure, domain-specific, browser-based
web administration makes Apache on Mac OS X the easiest web server in
the world to administer. Apple's new Intel Core Duo processor makes
iTools on a Mac mini a web server with unbeatable price performance
characteristics.
Apache 2.2.2 has new architectural features resulting in significantly improved memory and disk utilization, support for files greater than 2GB, a new database API and new database modules, enabling database applications to work more efficiently. These and a legion of other improvements contribute to the faster performance, and, coupled with the blazing Mac mini Intel processor, now benchmark Apache on an Intel Mac mini at greater than dual G5 performance. And iTools makes all this a snap to manage.

When iTools is installed it backs up some critical Mac OS X files so that it can control the included Apache 2.2.2 web server. If you decide to uninstall, you must run the Uninstaller (on the download page) to restore your OS to its original condition.

Incredible. Also my Mac got f'ed up, even though all I did was install the Trial, and after 5 mins, right after realizing how unnecessairy and useless this product is, uninstall using their uninstaller.

iTools is a malicious rip off. Dont use it, dont try it, never buy it, dont even use it in case you get if for free!
I use the Macintosh since 20 years, but such a thing never occured to me.

ITools is well respected, and pretty much takes the pain out of installing Apache, PHP and MySQL. Sure, if you're already running these items, and you have years of accumulated versions laying around your hard drive, installing a new version on top of the old grabage is likely to cause problems. Whose fault is that?
The product and the customer service is first rate. (And, if you can configure Apache in your sleep, why on earth would you even be interested in this product? Why do I get the feeling that some of the reviewers below have some other axe to grind?)
Like hundreds, or even thousands of others, I found iTools to be worth every penny.
