Product Description:
SlimBatteryMonitor is a space-efficient replacement power gauge for your Mac OS X menu bar. It monitors both laptop batteries and many UPS batteries. You can select different views for when powered, charging or on battery... even instruct SlimBatteryMonitor to automatically hide itself in some circumstances (e.g. while fully charged).
A graphical icon shows the power remaining, and can be accompanied by a text description (battery charge in percent, or time remaining). Colours indicate whether the system is fully charged, charging or on battery. In some cases, SlimBatteryMonitor can be 70% slimmer than Apple's system meter... With SlimBatteryMonitor you'll have room for other important menu bar items.

Great small battery status monitor.

I used this application on PowerBook G4 12-inch which has limited screen real estate and now I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro but still use SlimBattery meter since nowadays applications have grown their menubar presence so this applications helps. SlimBattery Monitor has many customization features like shape of the meter, warnings and what displays with battery monitor. The Apple Battery Status is good but takes too much space in the menubar and limited customization.
Anyone else having trouble with 10.4.8? - Version: 1.4, 2/16/2007 09:50PM PST

I love this utility. I've been using it for quite a while, but I can't get it to work with OS X 10.4.8. Am I doing something wrong?

First of all: great little app. I replaced my Macbook battery indicator with it. Just two little suggestions:
1) I wish I could drag the menubar item around when pressing "control"
2) I had previously been looking for a menubar item which would display both the time and percentage. Maybe in a very small font, on top of each others. That might be a nice enhancement.
