BitWise IM ReviewExcellent security product - Version: 1.7.2, 11/3/2006 02:49PM PST

I've been using the free version for a while and I really like it. I just paid $25 (a one time fee) for the Plus version for extra security. The best endorsement for this product I've seen is that it was discussed and praised in the infamous "Security Now" PodCast.

This is a really great idea, but so far that's all it is. Me and a bunch of online buddies have been trying to get the calling part working. The only thing that looks like it works well is the text chat. I don't know how the rest works, but it was too much wasted time on the last two versions. I think I'll wait a year and then maybe they can get a grip. Maybe they will have better directions or something. Do they try their own applications out before posting them ? It sure doesn't seem like it.

BitWise IM Reviewgreat app - Version: 1.0.2, 7/7/2004 11:24AM PST

been having it run all day, and no problems whatsoever. The only IM app that has managed to do file transfer (up and down) through my company's massive firewalls.

The whiteboard works, but despite great controls, your drawing skills will not improve.

The feeling that conversations and any data (whiteboard included) are encrypted without having to mess around with complicated options and setup is a massive plus. It's very very easy to use.

It's free to register and use, and it's stable.

Only comment may be the icons and interface. Nonetheless there are alternative themes one can download.

Does what it says it does and does it well. Would be nice to see video/audio chat in future versions.
