DVDxDV Pro ReviewVery good product, Very good support - Version: 1.09.19, 11/11/2009 10:39AM PST

It does what it says it does, very well. I came back to using the Pro version after a year long period, updated to the new version on my newer Mac laptop and am very pleased. the support has been terrific and now there are videos on their website which fill in the holes of my understanding of the product from before. I recommend this product strongly to my friends and clients.

Make sure you take a look at the online video tutorials that explain how easy it is to use the software. This video will show you everything you need to extract your very first DVD with DVDxDV Pro:

DVDxDV Pro ReviewGreat Product, use it in production - Version: 1.09.19, 9/22/2009 01:26PM PST

I have a small post house and we use this as one of our go-to tools when a client gives us a DVD to pull footage off of. It's fast and the video it turns out is as good as the original DVD. With the pro options we can now select chapters that we want and just encode those, or grab the entire disk.

If you're a video pro, this is a must have in your bag of tricks.

Always check the FAQ on the website before reporting an error. For some reason, many people fail to read the FAQ. Here's the link to the FAQ again in case anyone has difficulty in finding it.

DVDxDV Pro CommentaryIf you have problems with the installer contact support@dvdxdv.com - Version: 1.09.18, 8/16/2009 09:41AM PST

If you have problems with the installer why are you posting here? Why don't you send email to support@dvdxdv.com. Posting to this place won't resolve your issue. You will get a response most likely within minutes of sending a email to support@dvdxdv.com.

Between version 1.095 and 1.096, the installer will fail under 10.5. You need to send an email to support@dvdxdv.com, so that you can download the latest version that already has this issue fixed.

DVDxDV Pro Troubleshooting ReportInstaller does not work - Version: 1.09.15, 5/11/2009 07:49PM PST

BernMac
The installer detects a new version available, offers to download it, then downloads and then gives this error message: "Unable to open saved file".

Hve tried several times with same result.

DVDxDV Pro CommentaryThis is not the place to be asking for support - Version: 1.09.15, 4/22/2009 08:47AM PST

I seriously doubt you have ever contacted support@dvdxdv.com. DVDxDV resolves every customers problems and issues refunds for anyone not satisfied with the product. DVDxDV support very large organizations like CNN, BBC, ESPN, ABC, CBS, Fox Broadcasting, and Disney. DVDxDV has never refused a refund to any customer that couldn't get the product working.

Posting here at this forum isn't the best way to get issues resolved. That's why I seriously doubt you are a real customer and simply someone who wants to slander the software.

DVDxDV Pro CommentaryHorrible Customer Service and Authentication Problems - Version: 1.089, 4/14/2009 09:44PM PST

I initially purchased DVDxdv to work on projects where I needed to repurpose video I only had on DVD's to re-edit. The program suited me well, but every now and then kept requiring me to renter the license string. It was annoying, but at least it continued to work.

This January 2009 I purchased the Pro version for 80 dollars because I needed some very specific time code to pull out. When I went to use the program last month the license key says it's invalid.

I emailed support now twice, and all I get back is an email giving me the same Key that I got when I purchased the program with no other instructions, and the program STILL won't load.

I emailed a screen shot of this happening and no response. I would not waste my time or money with this company that won't respond to problems they've created in the authentication process.

I guess that's 80 dollars I won't ever get back-AND i still can't get my project done.

DVDxDV Pro ReviewGreat software! - Version: 1.088, 12/15/2008 11:22AM PST

flhtcui1995
I've used the "regular" version of this software for years and loved it. I finally upgraded to the pro version a couple weeks ago. It's very easy to use. I just select my DVD, choose my output options, and let it run while I'm working on other projects. It couldn't be simpler. When I had problems getting it to take my key code (v 1.088), tech support responded to my e-mail right away and solved my problem.
