SecureNotes CommentaryDead as a dead dog - Version: 2.0, 5/28/2009 03:25PM PST

The website says "NOTICE: NOT YET OX 10.5 "LEOPARD" COMPLIANT". After all this time for this app not yet to be 10.5 compatible is a clear indication that you shouldn't trust any data to it! Shame because the functionality looks pretty good.

SecureNotes ReviewPoor usability, slow and clumsy - Version: 1.5, 2/8/2005 05:48AM PST

Unlike their excellent PocketPC apps, MindFortress is a dog. I've used it since they released the first beta. It started out very clumsy, non-intuitive and slow. Based on their success with PocketInformant, I thought that MindFortress would improve dramatically over time. Well, it has not. The usability issues remain, and they have not given the app much development attention, as their PocketPC apps sell far better.

Many of the competing apps in this category cost less, and have developers who are willing to invest their time in the product.

SecureNotes ReviewStill Think It's Great - Version: 1.5, 2/7/2005 10:41PM PST

I've used this program nearly every day since I bought it, and I really appreciate it. I am the person who previously posted that I received great customer service from this developer and I have the email correspondence to prove it. I get tired of seeing people complain about a developer and then saying that any positive feedback "must have been posted by the developer." What rubbish! How would this developer have become one of the top developers of Pocket PC software without having decent customer service?

In addition to MindFortress, I purchased this developer's Pocket PC application, Pocket Informant, a few years ago, and the developer has done nothing to improve that award-winning software.

I believe that MindForterss is this developers first foray into Mac software and I hope that the negative people that have recently posted here do not discourage the developer from continuing to improve this program. Not all Mac users are like those two!

Thanks WebIS for a good product.

Moind fortress is a really nicely designed organizer, when it works. After trying the new update, I found many of my problems we resloved, and working well, I want to write a review of this app because it is something I use a lot, Its securite is great the ability to back up your data base , is wonderful, the interface is really nice as well, What I can say for sure is and Mojolive live who posted here as well spelled it out correctly. They are the not helpful at all, they are arrogant. Have no value for the person who is buy there app! None what so ever! But it seems to be stable so maybe you will be luck and not have to contact them!

SecureNotes ReviewUseful and Well-Designed - Version: 1.3, 9/10/2004 08:20PM PST

The developer has a great start on this useful and well-designed program. It's very easy to use. The developer is responsive to user input and is also the developer of a very solid and top selling Pocket PC application.

We have a very robust development plan for this software going to at least past version 2.x. We are moving towards that methodically :)

As to speed, most likely the XML format we're using right now is probably the root of any speed issues as it has to parse large amounts of text. We may be moving towards a speedier XML parser or SQLLite database in the future, so we'll see. But that's way out there in terms of timeframe.

Current objectives are AppleScript support, printing and email support.

SecureNotes ReviewGetting there... - Version: 1.1.1, 4/5/2004 01:55PM PST

...but it still needs some speed optimization and I really wish that drag & drop worked in the column view. Otherwise it's a pretty good way to save data.

SecureNotes ReviewGreat Start - Version: 1.1, 4/3/2004 03:36AM PST

I like this software. It has a good layout and interface. Needs more features to compete with similar freeform database apps but is off to a great start. I'm looking to replace Notepad Deluxe because it hasn't been updated for many months and it looks like this app might be able to replace it in addition to my old serial/password app. Hope the developer continues to work on it actively.
