Product Description:

Floating binary clock. I was given a ThinkGeek binary clock by a friend (in a not-so-transparent attempt to force me to learn binary math). It sucks. It runs fast, very fast, gaining about 5 minutes per day. So I wrote my own binary clock. This one is free, and doesn't run fast.

What's new in this version:

Universal binary version.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Universal Binary

John Schilling's .mac account expired and he is short on cash. If you like the wacko stuff he makes you might try donating to the cause. See his web site for instructions.

BinClocken Commentarytrue binary? - Version: 1.5.1, 5/3/2004 11:33AM PST

This is a great little app and much better than anything I've seen so far. That said, however, there are a few things that could make it even better.

1. Switch the layout of the LEDs to reflect true binary for hours, minutes and seconds. I.E. use 3 columns rather than 6.

2. I have to agree that being able to hide the dock icon would be great. I'd like to use this as a replacement to the standard Mac clock.

Keep up the good work, this is a great app!
