As all people who read a lot of chm ebooks know that all current chm viewers lack proper rendering of images and have a lot of broken image links. well i contacted the developers for chmviewer and they immediatelly send me a new beta version which fixed the problems. so great! now i can install debian over the *censored*ing windows wich i needed only to display the files properly!
to purchase the chmviewer afterwards for only 5 bucks was a gift!

Although it renders chm help file better than xchm, none of the Mac chm viewer IMHO is useful at all.
1) None allows you to search the chm files. One of the reason to read chm file is the easiness of searching for content.
2) Slow. On Windows platform, opening a chm file is a snap compared to opening a PDF file. On Mac platform, opening a chm file is much slower than PDF files.
3) No Index support. Most of the time the chm Index allows you to jump to the relevant section. Again the lack of index support makes the product a big minus.
Sigh. I have reverted to reading CHM files on Mac using Virtual PC Windoows session, at least it is free and allows me to search and go to index of the chm files.
