This is exactly what I've been looking for. I tend to rate stuff on my iPod and then when I return to my computer I need to manually copy the ratings so an automatic update with iTunes doesn't flush them out. Anyway, this is perfect. I was going to (futilely) attempt to write my own program to copy ratings but now I don't need to!
Excellent

I appreciate the reason this is needed completely. In fact I was wondering if you could extend it to do iTunes to iTunes sync'ing as well. iTunes lets you share a music library but not the meta data for that library (ie ratings, playlists, play count, etc.) When I bring my PB home from the office I want the last played date synced with my iMac and iBook at home.
I know I could use my iPod but it's only 15GB and I have 30GB of tunes in my library.
Seems like an extension of your current application!?
Thanks

Please note however that it doesn't seem to work to just sync selected playlists. I needed to choose entire iPod and sync that with the corresponding playlists in iTunes to get it to work.
