Product Description:

Watch and record TV on your PowerMac with AlchemyTV DVR! Schedule your recordings in a few easy steps with TitanTV or iCal, store them on your hard drive or burn them to VCD or DVD. Thanks to its tight integration with QuickTime, AlchemyTV DVR gives you a full range of capture options, including real-time MPEG-4 recording! AlchemyTV DVR delivers a clean and sharp picture, ideal for full size TV viewing and video capture. Best of all, DVR is supplied complete with remote control for maximum viewing pleasure!

What's new in this version:

Manually recorded videos (in TV mode) are listed in the scheduled recording list.
The installer does not contain manual files due to size. Existing manual files should be preserved by the installer if they are current, i.e. there's no newer manual available at miglia.com. Otherwise a dummy manual file is installed.
There is a new script applet "Install AlchemyTV DVR Manual" that canbe used to replace an old manual file inside the application bundle with a newer release. This script applet is placed inside the AlchemyTV DVR folder.
The request to look for new versions does block the application while at startup. Now the request runs only once a week.
Plug-in state messages are now deleted when the plug-in is done. The message is changed if you change the selected movie.
Home and End keys do work for the recording list now.
The âShow in Finderâ plug-in does select the item now.
Clipping and transparency are disabled for full screen mode.
The seconds in the recording list and in the details drawer are displayed with leading zeros.
Bugs in the recordings list which give wrong data are fixed
Window size 1:1 always works now.
Entering non-existing channel numbers is ignored now.
Use of DVR as startup item with âhiddenâ option does work.
When recording times are completely missed because app is not running then the recording list shows them as not successful.
Remote control works correctly for the DVR mode.

Since July '95, I've been quite satisfied with this product (AlchemyTV\DVR), despite a few wrinkles during setup - Power Mac G5\2.5 GHZ, 3GB w\Cinema Display.

Sound distortion after switching channels, occational klicks and buzzes.

Changing audio input in Audio/Sound Prefs has the same effect.

Probelm is new after ver.2.5 installation.

Mac OS 10.4.8 on a 1.4GHz Quicksilver.
