Xirc Commentaryalpha release at best - Version: 0.9.9, 12/21/2007 05:45PM PST

I am going to have to concur with schuey100. Apparently nothing has changed in the last year and a half. I have not been able to keep the application running for longer than 5 minutes before it crashes. The built in Crash Reporter fails when I attempt to submit a report. When I found that the crash description text box would not let me paste, I gave up and secure deleted the app.
In summary, about version 0,2. Try Snak or Colloquy instead.

I've used this app for a long time now. Stability is a main issue for me. It often crashes with no explanation, the crash reporter also crashes. If you want a stable app this isn't really for you.

Second, the developers don't seem to have much interest in fixing things. Once in a while there's an update but this happens rarely. There are major DCC issues which I first posted on their forum about a long time ago. These still haven't been fixed.

On the plus side, the developers seem friendly enough and do offer the off work around.

I'm also not a fan of the copy protection system they employ. It's a bit cumbersome and a simple code would be good enough.

I've just started using Snak and on the whole it's a var better app.

Snak 8/10
Xirc 4/10
