iWatermark ReviewNeeds improvement - Version: 3.2, 8/6/2009 01:38PM PST

This software has a great feature set, but the 3.2 demo keeps crashing and the IPTC data embed function doesn't work. Also, it displays vertical photos in horizontal format so you can't watermark vertical photos.

iWatermark ReviewEasy to use, saves me time - Version: 3.2, 5/17/2009 07:38PM PST

iWatermark is a very nice time saver. I used to batch process photos in Photoshop using actions... it was a nightmare... iWatermark is very nicely put together. Plus I think the guy who wrote the software has VERY good customer support! It may take him a day or two, but he has always been there to help me out.

iWatermark ReviewLack of support - Version: 3.1.5, 3/31/2009 02:48PM PST

This company are the sort who give software suppliers a bad name.

I downloaded the file for iWatermark, had a play with it and decided I liked the look of it. I payed my 20 bucks and awaited the email with my serial code. When it arrived, every time I went through the registration process I got a messsage up saying the code was not valid.

Several emails to them later I have had no reply. Their forum suggests this dire lack of manners and basic customer support is normal. Disgraceful outfit. Avoid at all costs.

iWatermark works still not correctly.

Chaotic system since the last 3 versions.

This version does not work well for me. There is no longer an option for Finder Icons of each photo, and when my photos are resized and resampled to 432 pixels or 6 inches @ 72dpi, they are over saturated.

iWatermark ReviewGreat, Once You Learn It - Version: 3.1.2, 4/9/2008 10:12PM PST

This is a very cool program, it not only places your own designated icon, name, or logo where you want it on your photos (with infinitely adjustable transparency levels from 1-100), but it also "sandwiches", encrypts and places your information WITHIN the photo itself, therefore if, and when someone says your photo is THEIRS, you can prove it's positively your creation in court or elsewhere. It took me a while of playing and learning this program, but once you learn and understand what each term in the program actually means, it turns into fun to use. One thing I just read is how to remove watermarks on all photos quickly and easily. I don't want to spread around a bad thing, so I'm not saying how to do it, but I am contacting the techs at iWatermark to see if they have someway to block this being done. I'll try to add the answer in a future feedback textbox. If you are a "picture taker" to a pro, this is for you. The pros can take advantage of the advanced procedures, and with the thoughtfully designed GUI, the amateur can utilize the higher tech features also. Great software with no bugs that I found, and definitely worth the price considering the options that can happen to your photos if they're not at all protected by anything. One other thing: you can send electronic versions of your work to the U.S. Copyright office (along with the correct form filled out, and money) to totally protect your precious photos. Once they're there, absolutely there is no dispute about who's work is who's.

Version 3.1 is working very well for me on an iMac G5 running Leopard.
Absolutely no problems.
I find it much easier to use than DropWatermark.
Good flexibility on watermark design and how it handles resizing files.

iWatermark Troubleshooting Report3.1.0 crashes for me - Version: 3.1.0, 10/16/2007 06:04AM PST

I love iWaterMark and have been using it for quite some time. Never had an issue with an update...until today. The new version 3.1.0 crashes for me every time that I launch it. I trashed the preferences file, reinstalled version 3.0.11 and everything works again. For me so that's my solution, I'll be interested to see if others have issues.

iWatermark Reviewgreat piece of software - Version: 3.0.8, 9/17/2006 11:52PM PST

I use iWatermark to create web-compliant pictures so i use it mostly to reduce the size of pics and add a watermark.
So this little software does what it's supposed to do and it does it very well and in a fast way.

User Interface: The frontend is clean and easy to handle. Once the options are set for resizing, thumbnailing, watermarking, file-type and renaming you can use iWatermark just from the startscreen without the need to go to any detail screen, that makes it very handy.
Also fine that the UI looks and feels the same on an Windows PC (no worry, i just use it sometimes)
Features The creation of different pre-defined watermark-sets is a great feature i use very often because i manage a couple of sites and so it's very easy to resize/watermark the pics in one step for the particular site. The watermark-editor works fine, you can define pics and/or text and combine it in one watermark with some effects if you like. The preview funtionality gives you an good impression what the image will look like. The "scale" option to constrain the watermark to a specific percentage of the image is a great feature, especially if you have a lot of portrait and landscape pics.

Feature request: what i would love to see in an future release is the possibility to use different positions for watermark-pic and text (for example: text bottom right, and pic in upper left corner) or the use of more than one watermark-set to achieve this (look how the developer of Downsize managed this ;-)).
Support In contrast to the last reviewer here, my experience is that the Support is very fast and reliable. Just had an request on Sunday!! and had an reply within a few hours. That's the way i like it.
Price I think the 20 bugs are a fair price for this software.

Overall Rating: I really like this software and i use it on a daily base. So if you're looking for a software with outstanding features for quick image processing: iWatermark is a good choice.
