JunkMatcher - 1.5.2

JunkMatcher is a cocktail-styled spam filter add-on for Mail.app in Mac OS X 10.3.x (Panther). It filters spam by conducting various tests over incoming emails: tests can be patterns written in a very flexible format called regular expressions (so you can filter out many variations of certain words/phrases like "v1ägra" or "\/Iagr á", or you can filter out emails with external images, etc.); test can also be from a set of highly customizable email properties, such as whether emails are sent to too many people you don't know (based on the data in your Address Book), or if emails are sent from one of the known spamming hosts on Internet (blacklist query).

JunkMatcher integrates tightly with your Mail.app and OS X. It knows your Address Book, and it springs into life via a rule within Mail.app: from there you can freely combine JunkMatcher with other rules you might have, or even use it together with Mail.app's own filter. JunkMatcher can even improve the accuracy of the built-in filter if they are used together.

JunkMatcher is also extremely configurable. The GUI allows you to closely examine emails and to come up with your own patterns. You can write patterns to match many "views" of cleanly distilled emails (such as headers, subject, body, even text-based rendering for HTML emails). You can also check on what JunkMatcher has done in the past, correct its mistakes, manage your whitelist, etc.
