The point was to provide a way to enter old glyphs such as YAT', YUS', TITLO etc. for use in historical works and manuscripts, as well as for transliterated Old Slavonic, as may be necessary.
The inclusion of a modern keyboard is merely an addition to this - and it too is different enough from the available free products.
