What you want it function properly? Forget it! What you want the developer to at least post issues in his useless blog? Forget it!

Useless software...useless developer.

Really, you are seriously wasting your time loading this crap onto your Mac, and then having to find all the pieces to it when you dump it.

I gave up on this when it got stuck on Yahoo.

Found Glims and it does the same thing and more.

So, why bother with Inquisitor?

Inquisitor CommentaryGoogle Search? - Version: 3.2 (v61), 6/8/2009 07:24PM PST

So there's the option to use Google is back, but as far as I can tell it doesn't load any results based off your search within the Inquisitor window. Instead, it only predicts various autocompletions of what you've typed, and then you have to load the Google page.

I get that it's owned by Yahoo! now, but I guess I just liked the old functionality with Google results. It appears everything works normally when Yahoo! is the search engine.

Inquisitor ReviewGoogle search is back! (But Installer seems broken) - Version: 3.2 (v61), 4/9/2009 12:18AM PST

The previous version did not produce results when Google was the chosen search engine but v61 brings it back. Hurray! When installing v61 over v58 the installer gave me an error message:

Install failed: The following install step failed: run postflight script for Inquisitor. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I took out the Inquisitor folder from the Input Managers folder and tried again but had the same results. However Inquisitor seems to run fine in spite of the error.

YEA!! OMG, I was going nuts without Inquisitor's search abilities. Once you get used to it, you really have a hard time without it (like when using Safari 4). Thank god it's back - makes searching much easier & more accurate.

Inquisitor CommentaryInquisitor renamed my local InputManagers folder. - Version: 3.2 (v58), 2/17/2009 06:58PM PST

After installing Inquisitor 3.2 on OS 10.4.11, I launched Safari and noticed that SafariStand, 1Password, and SafariBlock managers were gone. Inquisitor's installer renamed my local ~/Library/InputManagers folder to InputManagers-Tiger and installed itself in the global /Library/InputManagers folder. This is very improper behavior for an installer.

Other than that I've had no problem with Inquisitor. I've been using it for over a year on my home computer.

Inquisitor ReviewLeaves Nasty Tracking Cookies - Version: 3.2 (v58), 12/1/2008 02:12PM PST

Want tracking cookies hiding on your Mac? Then use Inquisitor; it lives up to it name. Watanabe is worse than scum. It will be a better day for the Mac world when Watanabe goes over to Windows software development.

Inquisitor ReviewVery Interesting! - Version: 3.2 (v58), 11/25/2008 09:41AM PST

I have read several complaints on this software, as only being able to search through Yahoo; if a program is written correctly, then an option would be given to use Google or Yahoo; all that is necessary to use this software's search, is open it's preferences, and CHANGE the default from Yahoo to Google; that is all that was needed. No complaints from this user. I also have used this with ZERO problems; this includes the Safari Update 3.2.1
