Product Description:

Aki Mahjong Solitaire for Mac OS X elegantly blends the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong with an enchanting journey across Japan. It's a modern fusion of two ancient Asian cultures, and is as much an experience as it is a game. Aki Mahjong Solitaire is easy to learn even if you still haven't mastered chopsticks, so don't hesitate to dive right in. We think you'll soon find yourself captivated.

The principle is simple: you have a number of ivory tiles arranged on a beautiful Japanese backdrop. Your goal is to make all of the tiles disappear by matching them to similar tiles. The catch is that tiles can be removed only if they are unblocked on either side by other tiles, and you have the uncompromising ticking away of the time limit to contend with.

At each step in your path, you will encounter new challenges in the variety of tile layouts presented to you, and a variety of skill levels that ensure you'll always find the experience engaging.

Aki Mahjong Solitaire ReviewNice, but... - Version: 1.1.1, 9/26/2006 06:01PM PST

These games did put the itch in me for the real deal - not being a snot; I like a fast paced memory-type game like these. But now that I'm older and seek a bit more strategy I yearn for the 'real deal'; my search was haggard and empty until recently, as not many are out there for mac, but found some free online jobbers that are just dandy.

Aki Mahjong Solitaire ReviewAddicting, Fun, Where Did My Weekend Go? - Version: 1.1, 1/4/2005 12:44AM PST

Although not a real Mahjong game as some complain, Aki is a wonderful gem of an anti-productivity tool. The music will entrance you as you rapidly match tiles before your time runs out. The original release was a lot of fun, and quite addicting. The latest version includes a built-in level editor so addicts can find whole new ways to avoid work and chores. The hours will go quickly once you load up Aki Mahjong Solitaire.

A wonderful little game that my wife and I both enjoy. We learned how to play Mah Jong using Aki. Very nicely done theme, with decent graphics and good music.

It might be improved by even more level paths, music, graphics, and screen size options, but it's elegant as it is.

Very stable, and reasonably priced.
