Product Description:

Android is an out-of-this-world kind of game: It's the biggest tiny game you'll ever play! Though it's set in a teeny tiny universe, it's worlds of humungous fun! 100 levels, 5 different worlds, hours of entertainment. There are gold bags amidst the playing fields of Android, so look very carefully because you'll need to collect all of them before you can leap to the next level! How do you do it, you ask? Like life, Android is full of ups and downs. Fortunately for you, you can use the ladders, trampolines and ropes to keep you in motion and out of trouble! Stay away from the other androids and spikes. Ouch! In order to help you out a bit, you're equipped with little bombs that can help you dig holes in the ground and bury the bad guys or your opponents... Are you ready? Then, get your tiny little butt in gear! Android is waiting for you!

Android ReviewIt's not Lode Runner but it's still mildly amusing - Version: 1.5, 11/6/2006 07:12AM PST

I still have Lode Runner on a 20-year old 5.25" Apple II floppy somewhere in the basement. Android is not Lode Runner.

I like the additions (trampolines, impassible blocks, etc) that the author added to this game, but I really miss the directional acid and the ability to trap more than one bad guy at a time. In the original you could get three bad guys in a row then run over the tops of all of them dropping more acid behind you as you went to catch them as they try to follow you. There were also the levels that required you to do a lot of drilling through several layers in order to get to trapped loot...and sometimes wind up trapped yourself.

I would gladly pay $10 for a true Lode Runner port that runs natively in OS X.

Just my $0.02.

Android ReviewNot as great as the original - Version: 1.3, 10/15/2004 04:24AM PST

Works pretty well, but by far not as exiting and funny as the original.
I prefer to play 10 year old Lode Runner 2 in Classic.
But if you don't have that possibility, Android is your only choise if you'd like to collect money and trap bad guys underground.
