Perhaps this is not as daunting as it appears to me, but having to install a MySQL database seems like a lot of work. I had hoped this might be a good application to use to run cues in a theatre from a Mac, but installing the DB seems to be a bit more than the average user might want to try.
So i will not rate the software, but do hope there is a way to use it w/o the DB (maybe it could read the iTunes library directly?)
But it looks like the features are all there. If I get more time on my hands, I'll try again and install the DB. I needto know more about that. It seems Adobe is the only product on my Mac that has an MySQL DB at the moment. <sigh>.

I just tested the program and it seemed to work with WAVs for me. Maybe some kind of QT mime is missing on your system? Overall a good program

Dave Hill--2008
Although it says that arplayer can play anything that Quicktime can play,
I couldn't get AudioRack to play standard 44100 16bit WAV files.
I tried playing them using arplayer "by hand" and nothing happens. MP3 files
play fine.
I was interested in seeing if I could use AudioRack to play out sound effects
in local amateur theatre. I could encode them to MP3 but they're so short
it's hardly worth it.

Does Anyone knows if this Audio Rack supports streaming of live radio?
