HyperNext Player CommentaryMiserable Link - Version: 1.3, 8/8/2004 11:59PM PST

My DSL is functioning as normal. But downloading anything relating to HyperNext from VT or from developers site is slow at best and at worst files are corrupt and cannot be expanded.

Tested identical file type downloads from VT and Apple.com/software/updates and my software is working fine. If I had a dialup I'd need a LOT of patience.

Got the 1.14 Player as a freebie somewhere (Panther?). Very buggy. Think I'll pass.

HyperNext Player CommentarySuggestion - Version: 1.13, 2/19/2004 01:16AM PST

I have a lot of valuable stored in Hypercard stacks, in fact the need to access this data is about the only reason I haven't trashed Classic from my hard disk. And I bet I'm not the only one in this position. If the authors of HyperNext would invent some scheme that would allow me to import my Hypercard stacks into their environment I'd sit up and take notice, and in fact I'd be willing to pay a good deal more than their current asking price to get my hands on such a thing. I hope the authors of HyperNext visit this site and read this.

HyperNext Player ReviewA replacement for... - Version: 1.02, 12/26/2003 08:39PM PST

Apple's HyperCard? It would be nice to see something like that for OSX. This version has bugs: I opened the Player and went to File > Open to open an Example Stack, and the Player presented me with the Quitting Player alert. I double-clicked a stack and it opened, but again, when I went to select File > Open, the Player went into its Quit mode. I don't think this is quite ready for release...
