Product Description:

DVD Controller is a clicker action for use with Salling Clicker that lets you remote control Apple's DVD Player from your bluetooth phone or PDA. Features include:

Complete player control
System volume control
Automatically suspends iTunes during playback
Automatically sets iChat status during playback
Screen Capture
On screen display
On phone display
Built-in mouse mode
Fully customizable

What's new in this version:

CONTROLLER:

Added "Go to..." menu to keypad (Main menu/Last time played/Bookmark/Chapter/Time)
Added "DVD Player options" menu to keypad (Set viewer window size/Toggle viewer window/Toggle info window/Toggle subtitles/Next subtitle/Previous subtitle/Eject disc)
Added "Open VIDEO_TS folder" to Options menu (searches user's movie folder, including folder aliases)
Added "Set Scan Rate" menu to keypad (automatically leaves and re-enters full screen if necessary)
Added "Add bookmark" to keypad
Scan rate is now increased when REW/FF keys are held (not available in full screen mode)
Mute key now mutes first DVD Player, then System if held
New keypad layout

PALM SUPPORT:

Added support for setting DVD Player volume (slider)
Replaced Increase/Decrease System volume with System volume slider
Added support for Mouse mode
Options menu now stays up on Select chapter and Step forward

BUGS:

Fixed issue (for real this time!) where dvd state was displayed as an error on phone display
Fixed issue where Rewind would show Fast forward icon
Fixed issue where Next and Previous chapter icons were mixed up

ON SCREEN DISPLAY:

Resume time and movie progress bar is now displayed after seek
Displays movie progress bar on Play/Pause and Next/Previous chapter
Added play icon and movie progress bar to Select chapter
Announces chapter number on Skip chapter
Added pause icon to Step DVD

OTHER:

"Go to main menu" now returns to DVD if re-selected
Grab and Release OSD in Mouse mode is now displayed only when feedback is on

DVD/MPlayer/VCL Controller are the best scripts available for Salling Clicker and it is a real pleasure to use them. I would love to see additional scripts from Snarb for iTunes and iPhoto.

Why pay $5? Because $5 is nothing given how much you get. There isn't as complete a set of Salling Clicker actions anywhere. I personally bought it with the VLC clicker in mind, but they're all great. What I would like to see is some more consistency between the scripts. Fullscreen on VLC is the 4 key on my phone, whereas it is 1 in the DVD controller. Similarly, while I use the 2 key to find a movie (excellent idea!) in VLC, I suppose I'd kinda equate that to selecting a chapter using the DVD player? Maybe. Could you make it customisable?
